Learning outcomes:

After passing this exam, the student will be able to: - Explain the main general historical processes of the world and Europe from 1941 to 1989, - Analyze the significance of the decisive battles of the World War II in Europe, North Africa and the Pacific (the battle of Moscow, the siege of Leningrad, Stalingrad battle, the Battle of Kursk, the Battle of El Alamein, the Battle of Normandy, Berlin battle, the Battle of Midway, the Battle of Leyte Gulf) - Understand the term "cold war" and explain the causes of its origin, - Analyze the significance of the military-political crises in the world during the "cold war" for the international relations in the world, - Evaluate the significance of the "arms race" as one of the key factors in the foreign policy of the Great Powers.
