After completing the requirements of this course, the student will be capable of: - using dictionaries, glossaries and other sources in translating legal texts from English to Montenegrin language; - recognizing subtle differences in the meaning of the terms that depend on their use in different areas of law; - master key features and principles of translation of legal texts from English to Montenegrin; - master the basic syntax and lexical characteristics of the legal register in English and Montenegrin; - use appropriate terminology and syntax structures in translation of the texts of international legal instruments from European Union, European Court of Human Rights and United Nations from English to Montenegrin; - use the appropriate terminology and syntax structures in translating texts in the field of criminal law from English to Montenegrin; - master the techniques necessary for provision of translation services within set deadlines and in line with other requirements of the clients.
