After completing the two-semester course in Periodontology I, the Dentistry student should have the following learning outcomes: 1. Possess communication skills with patients and medical staff. 2. He is able to independently take all relevant anamnestic data from the patient, determine the level of oral hygiene as well as the state of the periodontium (with appropriate indices), and define the diagnosis of periodontal disease. 3. Determine the prognosis of the disease for individual teeth as well as for the entire dentition and define a treatment plan for the diseased periodontium. 4. Knows and correctly applies the instruments used in the causal therapy of periodontitis 5. Independently performs causal therapy of periodontitis. 6. Knows the indications and contraindications for applying the periodontal pocket treatment method, and independently applies periodontal pocket therapy using this method.
