Joint Scientific Research Project of the Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology and the Institute for Nanotechnology (CNR NANOTEC)

The project “Eco-friendly Substrate for Hydrogen Storage in Metal-Oxide Nanosystems – ECHYDNA” integrates materials engineering with environmental responsibility to develop innovative solutions for efficient, safe and sustainable energy storage. The research focuses on the use of environmentally friendly 3D substrates and advanced thin-film deposition techniques aimed at creating a new hydrogen-storage system with improved performance compared to conventional metal hydrides.

The project activities will be carried out by research teams from the Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology and the Institute for Nanotechnology (CNR-NANOTEC) in Italy, led by Prof. Vanja Asanović and Dr. David Maria Tobaldi.

The ECHYDNA project has been selected for funding under the Call for Co-financing Joint Scientific Research Projects between the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation of Montenegro and the National Research Council of Italy (CNR) for the period 2026–2027.
