Assist.prof. The conference was organized by the Forum of Adriatic-Ionian Chambers of Economies (Forum AIC) in collaboration with the Associtation of Universities of Adriatic-Ionian Region (UniAdrion) and the Forum of Adriatic-Ionian Cities (FAIC), as well as numerous other partner university networks, regions and Chambers of Economies of Cities (AI-NURECC PLUS initiative), and other public and private institutional partners, institutes, scientific organizations, faculties and representatives of business sector. Representative of Montenegrin Chamber of Economy, Ms Tanja Radusinović also took participated at the panel.

The aim of this conference is to contextualize and map the creative and cultural sector (CCI) existing in the Adriatic-Ionian Region. The aim of the conference is also to consider various types of social and economic benefits which can be produced by creative industries, differentiating at the same time their three functional configurations. The first configuration refers to educational value of the cultural sector, mainly related to the area of public expenditures through preservation and valorization of cultural heritage. Their second configuration refers to economic function of cultural and creative industries, where CC industries are considered from the aspect of the overall social contribution, and their functional ability to create wealth and revenues. The third considered aspect was analysed from the aspect of economic and physical regeneration which CCI can play in the process of economic deindustrialization which affects urban systems. Finally, all the panellists discussed the crucial importance of culture in generating positive changes, transformation and creative impulses in the overall social-cultural environment and behaviour. Therefore the ultimate aim of the conference was connecting experts and practitioners in this area, trying to systematize and expend the understanding of CCI potential for Adriatic-Ionian region.
