Student Mobility Programs

Student Mobility Programs

Mobility represents a valuable opportunity for both academic and personal development, enabling students of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts to complete part of their studies at renowned universities abroad. Through this form of education, students acquire new knowledge, improve their foreign language skills, and familiarize themselves with various academic and cultural environments. In addition to broadening their horizons, mobility facilitates connections with peers and professors from different parts of the world, opening doors to future professional and academic opportunities.

One of the most significant programs supporting student mobility is Erasmus+, which provides students and university staff with opportunities for study stays and internships abroad. This program encourages the exchange of knowledge and experiences among European universities, strengthening academic collaboration and enhancing the quality of education.

Studying at a foreign university brings numerous benefits – from adopting contemporary teaching methods to developing a professional network of contacts. An additional advantage is that the earned ECTS credits are recognized upon return, ensuring continuity in studies without extending their duration. The mobility experience not only enriches students academic paths but also prepares them for future professional challenges, making them more competitive in the labor market and better equipped for international business and academic opportunities.

The Faculty of Dramatic Arts at the University of Montenegro actively collaborates with renowned institutions, including the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film, and Television (AGRFT) of the University of Ljubljana and the University of Hildesheim in Germany. The Faculty has also established cooperation with the University of Arts in Tirana, opening new possibilities for exchange and professional development. Furthermore, significant collaborations have been made with the University of Arts in Belgrade, and recently signed agreements within the Erasmus+ framework include partnerships with the University Aldo Moro in Bari, Italy, and the Academy of Dramatic Arts at the University of Zagreb, Croatia.

Additionally, the Faculty of Dramatic Arts enjoys an exceptional partnership with the Shanghai Theatre Academy, a prestigious higher education institution from the People’s Republic of China. This collaboration enables our students to participate in International College/Degree programs, as well as in short-term group programs and summer schools within the Belt & Road initiative. These programs offer intensive training in theater, acting, directing and performing arts, with a special focus on Opera, allowing students to explore and develop their vocal and acting skills within the context of international artistic standards.

In addition to academic and artistic development, participants in these programs have the opportunity to explore and become acquainted with different cultures and traditions, particularly China’s rich artistic heritage. A stay in Shanghai opens the door to encounters with unique aesthetics, different views on theatrical practice, and innovative pedagogical methods. Students have the chance to familiarize themselves with the tradition of Chinese Opera and its specific performance styles, as well as to explore possibilities for integrating these traditions into contemporary expression. This program not only enriches students artistic expressions but also prepares them for creative work in an intercultural context, especially in stage-music forms that bridge the East and the West.

Through this collaboration, students have the opportunity to gain international experience, familiarize themselves with advanced as well as traditional pedagogical approaches to theater, and broaden their horizons within a global context. In addition to academic and artistic development, participants in such programs can explore and learn about diverse cultures and traditions, such as China’s rich theatrical heritage, which encompasses styles like Opera, traditional dance, and movement within contemporary theatrical expression.

Furthermore, the Faculty of Dramatic Arts has initiated numerous initiatives and finalized new agreements related to the upcoming Erasmus+ Mobility contract cycle, focusing on international collaboration with prestigious state art universities in Poland, France, Luxembourg, and Belgium.

Mobility, as a key component of modern education, allows students to enrich their academic and artistic experience, preparing them for the globally connected labor market and the dynamic challenges of contemporary society.
