DAISY Books in Montenegro among Best Innovative Practices of inclusive Education in the World

Since compiling DAISY book was taken part by the Faculty of Drama Arts of the University of Montenegro and thanks to engagement made by Dubravka Drakic, PhD and students of acting who filmed texts as narrators with pleasure we convey this beautiful news:   

WIENNA, AUSTRIA, February 20th 2020 – Initiative of introducing DAISY books in inclusive education in Montenegro was made six years ago by the UNICEF and the Ministry of Education in cooperation with the Agency for Books and Teaching Aid, resource Center for Children and Young „Podgorica”, School Institute and Faculty of Drama Arts is recognized as one of 75 best innovative practice in global level in the field of inclusive education this year on the conference Zero Project 2020, international summit on inclusive education and communication technologies that assembles several hundreds of experts from this field worldwide.

Zero Project each year identifies and promotes in the world the most innovative policies and practices for improvement of lives of person with disabilities. Montenegro is the first country in the world that uses DAISY books systematically in inclusive education. This is about books in audio and visual DAISY format intended for children and they are especially useful for students who have difficulties in reading printed text.
