Krsto Šućur - Best student of the University of Montenegro in the Field of Technical Sciences

At the session of the Senate of the University of Montenegro, at proposal of the Council of the Faculty of Maritime Studies of Kotor, the Plaque of the University of Montenegro, as a reward for the completed studies with best achievement in the field of technical sciences, it will be awarded at a subsequently organized commemorative ceremony and the award of plaques and diplomas to a student of the Faculty of Maritime Affairs of Kotor, Krsto Sucur (9.93).

We talked to him about the importance of this recognition, his commitment during his studies, his motivation, his plans for the future and his advice for young colleagues.

"The award for the best student in the field of technical sciences, which I was selected for this year, is an additional recognition of the work and effort I have continuously invested. This achievement will serve as a motivation for further development in both professional and life terms," ​​said the best student Faculty of Maritime Studies Kotor.

In order to succeed, Krsto says, we must also be prepared for certain waivers.

"The waiver was certainly an integral part of this process, but I would characterize the same waiver as a necessary sacrifice that needs to be taken for better results," he said.

When it comes to activities at the faculty, concerning the acquisition of certain knowledge and skills, Šućur has been engaged in laboratory exercises and work on simulators, which he says are a key factor in acquiring skills that are later fully applied in practice.

"Activities at the Faculty of Maritime Studies range from the study of different natural sciences to the acquisition of knowledge about the way modern technologies work, both in relation to seafaring, and generally in life, and finally gaining awareness of the nature of work and the functioning of different systems of organization in the to an industry that spans the whole world such as maritime, ”Krsto added.

After completing his basic studies, Krsto will continue his further studies and at the same time build a career in the maritime industry, which is a great motivation for him now.

"Motivation during my studies was defined by clearly defined goals and a certain vision of the person I want to be in the future, with an added emphasis on developing my own skills and knowledge, as something that contributes not only to my development but also to the further development of society."

He sends the following message to prospective students: "The Faculty of Maritime Studies in Kotor is a very promising institution and offers the opportunity to be part of a global industry that is perfecting itself by world standards and being competitive in the global market. it constantly changes and requires high knowledge and skills that are valued above all else, and as an integral part of it carries great responsibilities, but also merits, dangers but also respect, renunciation but also rewards and represents one great life adventure and lesson.
