Invitation - 5th international student conference on the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals and Local Security - Ljubljana & Podgorica, 20 April 2022 at 08.30 (CET), On-line, MS Teams

The FCJS UM has been conducting a study on local safety and security since 2015. A research focus between 2015 and 2018 was general, since 2019 we are focusing on rural and urban perspectives of local safety and security. This year our focus is dedicated to sustainable development goals related to local safety and security. The Faculty of Criminal Justice and Security, University of Maribor, Slovenia and the Faculty of Law, University of Montenegro, Montenegro have organized four international student conferences on a variety of perspectives of security and safety in local communities since 2017. The fifth conference will take place online again soon – on 20 April 2022 at 08.30 a.m. (CET).

It is important to emphasise that in line with principles of the Bologna declaration of higher education, students take part in research and a research-oriented subject in the master's programme of the FCJS UM has been taught since 2017. This conference is a great opportunity for future legal and security experts to discuss significant perspectives on safety and security within the framework of the Un SDGs.
