Montenegrin International Medical Summit Open
A solemn opening of the Montenegrin International Medical Summit (MIMS 2019), the first congress intended to students and young doctors of medicine, dentistry and pharmacology, was held in the amphitheater of the Institute for Public Health of Montenegro. The Faculty of Medicine, the University of Montenegro, is the organizer of the MIMS.
Milovan Roganovic, Dr, President of the MIMS organizational Committee, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony and Rector of the University of Montenegro, Danilo Nikolic, PhD declared the Congress open.
MIMS 2019 brought together about 250 students and young doctors who will have the opportunity to complete their knowledge of biomedical sciences, as well as to meet colleagues from the region and the world, through interesting lectures, workshops and scientific papers on various topics.
The motto of this year's MIMS is Live, learn and research.
The MIMS program, organized by the Faculty of Medicine of UoM, includes plenary lectures of eminent experts in the field of medicine, dentistry and pharmacy, who are mostly professors but also alumni of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Montenegro; interesting workshops at which MIMS participants will improve their practical knowledge and presentations of the scientific papers of the participants that have been prepared in the previous couple of months. The best student papers will be awarded with adequate awards.
The MIMS will host the Roche Campus - Knowledge is to share for the first time in Montenegro, where MIMS participants will have the opportunity to discuss with eminent experts in the field of digital transformation and innovation in the healthcare.
