Upon the completion of the course, students will be able to: 1. Define and use basic terminology from pragmatics and text linguistics. 2. Analyze texts from a pragmatic perspective, considering both the co-text and the context. 3. Understand the standards of textuality and apply them when translating. 4. Recognize the genre, register, and structure of different types of texts, and understand how the properties and elements of the original text should be transferred into its translation.
