After successfully completing the course, the student will be able to: 1. Explain the process of the emergence of literature in Italian language. 2. Describe the poetic and genre characteristics of Italian literature of the Middle Ages. 3. Categorize the works of Italian literature written in the XIII and XIV century by literary periods and genres. 4. Present the most important authors of the Italian literature of XIII and XIV century and their works.
