"Montenegrin musical heritage – music practices and their potentials" (MusiH)

Music Academy University of Montenegro and the Ministry of Science of Montenegro

Music Academy of the University of Montenegro in cooperation with the Ministry of Science is organizing the International Conference "Montenegrin musical heritage – music practices and their potentials" (MusiH). The conference will focus on research of musical traditions of Montenegro, the preservation of intangible cultural heritage and intangible cultural heritage as a development resource potential.

The program committee invites interested parties to send your request to the following topics:

 

  1. Historical sources and research of Montenegrin folk music tradition
  2. New research of Montenegrin musical traditions
  3. Applied Ethnomusicology
  4. Preservation of musical heritage
  5. Intangible heritage as potential and development resource.
  6. Reflection identity through musical legacy

 

Languages ​​of the Conference are Montenegrin and English.

Summary ​​(up to 300 words in one of the working languages), contact information (mailing address, e-mail, phone number) and CV (up to 150 words) should be sent to the e-mail address  musih@ucg.ac.me not later than 10th June, 2019.

All selected works will be published in Collectionworks of the International Conference "Montenegrin musical heritage – music practices and their potentials". Instructions for authors will be delivered until the end of June 2019.
