Recycling loop of metal alloys from dentistry and maritime

The project aims to develop and install a recycling loop for metal alloys from the fields of dentistry and maritime through joint multidisciplinary cooperation of numerous experts from dentistry, engineering, mechanics, chemistry, biology, maritime, and economics.

Within the REC-MET project, an international team will collect waste dental alloys and maritime recycling materials. Throughout the project, the team will establish a safe system for collecting post-use alloys, including strategies for their transport and handling, and determine their properties to develop an appropriate recycling technology.

By expanding various forms of knowledge within a network of regional, multidisciplinary cooperation between experienced educational and industrial partners, the technology for recycling metal alloys will begin to be developed and implemented in Serbia and Montenegro, as countries striving to meet EU standards in this field.

The results of the research will have a positive impact on increasing the level of research activities in both Serbia and Montenegro, as well as on the improvement of insufficiently defined standards in the field of metal alloy collection and recycling. This means that the added value of this cooperation will also affect institutions already involved in developing circular economy technologies, their application in biomedicine, and research on waste metal alloys.

The project partners are:
