Online guest lecture by captain Igor Petrović and ship manager Denis Vukašinović

An online lecture on the subject "Ship Machine Complex" was held on March 18, 2021. The guests at this lecture were experienced sailors Denis Vukašinović, machine operator and Igor Petrović, captain - former students of the Faculty of Maritime Studies Kotor and members of the Boka Navy Kotor.

In the introductory part of the lecture, the students were shown a presentation about the Boka Navy and a film was released which is intended for the candidacy of the Boka Navy Kotor for inscription on the UNESCO World Intangible Cultural Heritage List. It is not mentioned that the navy is also the oldest existing naval institution in the world.

After the introductory part, the students were addressed by colleagues Petrović and Vukašinović.

As the topic was "Coordinated procedures and actions that are necessary to be performed on the ship before the departure-entry of the ship", it was necessary to explain to the students the importance of mutual preparations that are performed on the bridge and in the ship's machine complex. Also, the students were explained what awaits them on the ship tomorrow and they were given guidelines on what details they should pay attention to in order to ensure safe navigation.

At the end of the lecture, Captain Petrović and the ship manager Vukašinović answered interesting questions from students. Answering the questions, the lecture lasted for 2 hours, and was attended by over 70 students, who characterized this type of lecture as something that will be of great use to them in their professional education.
