All vacancies at the Study Program Nautica and Maritime Transport at the PFK Fulfilled

49 vacancies remained at the Faculty of Maritime Sciences Kotor of the University of Montenegro (PFK). Vice-dean for lecture Milena Dzeverdanovic-Pejovic states that all 80 determined places at the study

‘The trend continued with the admission of high school students with excellent and successful success, of which over 15% of foreigners and about 10% of students with the best grades. This certainly represents continuity and tradition in regard to the quality of applicants,‘ she said.

When it comes to the remaining vacancies, there will be vacancies12 candidates at the program Shipbuilding, two vacancies at the Maritime and Logistics Management, and 35 vacancies at the study program Maritime electrical engineering in the second admission deadline.

Milena Dzeverdanovic-Pejovic, the Vice-dean for lecture at PFK, advices students to, primarily, attend classes regularly because it include both theoretical and practical part and active participation easier to achieve success on exam.

 ‘They should be active on online platforms such as moodle from where they also download materials for work and perform tests of knowledge during the semester. They also apply for mobility programs or exchanges beyond the University of Montenegro, through contribution and diligent work which is a significant experience and novelty for students,’ she said.

Diversity of the labor market, adds, and especially competitive maritime market requires knowledge and quality that the Faculty of Maritime Sciences Kotor continuously provides.

"When it comes to boarding future seafarers, there is a possibility for students with a good success to prove themselves and be selected for embarkation on some of the reputable shipping companies with which we have cooperation. Certainly the should learn professional subjects and foreign languages, especially English as the official language of maritime communication, ‘ Dzeverdanovic-Pejovic told to new students.
