After successfully completing the course, students will be able to: • Describe the production systems in which indigenous breeds of domestic animals are kept • With a high level of responsibility, consider the importance of the diversity of genetic resources of domestic animals for the production of sufficient amounts of food and the preservation of the environment, • Calculate the effective population size; determine the level of vulnerability of a population, perform characterization (phenotypic and genetic). • Recognize autochthonous breeds of domestic animals in Montenegro • Knows the possibilities of sustainable use and conservation of autochthonous and other endangered breeds of domestic animals
