"59 scientists (including seven academics) from 13 European countries, 27 cities and with 35 different scientific research and educational institutions". This was announced at the press conference held today at the UCG Rectorate on the occasion of Njegoš Days, organized by the Study Program for Montenegrin Language and South Slavic Literature, the Faculty of Philology and the University of Montenegro.

Chairperson of the Steering Committee UMNE Rajka Glušica, PhD said that Njegos days already represent a traditional scientific and cultural manifestation and a recognizable Montenegrin scientific brand, and according to the results achieved so far, this scientific gathering and the Study Program for Montenegrin language and South Slavic literature form the solid foundations of Montenegrin studies.

"So far, eight Proceedings have been printed, in which 237 scientific works have been published on over 4,000 pages (4,056), of which 69 are dedicated to Njegoš and his work. Those new 237 bibliographic units represent a great scientific contribution and indispensable literature for all those who deal with Njegošs work and the science of language and literature," she said and added that in 2013, when the 200th anniversary of Njegošs birth was celebrated, a collection of Njegoš was printed in honor of 40 works on the greatest Montenegrin and South Slavic poet.

Chairperson of the Organisation Committee, Tatjana Bečanović, PhD, thanked the sponsors who recognized Njegoš Days as a very important scientific and cultural event. "I express my gratitude to the Government of Montenegro, Morsko Dobro, the Municipality of Budva, Ad Mind, Montek, Lovćen National Park, and very modestly to the Municipality of Tivat and the Tivat Culture Center, taking into account the fact that the event is being held in Tivat," Professor Bečanović added. She pointed out that the theme of this years gathering is related to anti-war literature and linguistic activism with a section dedicated to Njegoš and his work, as well as to the communication that contemporary literature achieves with Njegošs texts.  "In addition, we considered that for this year it is necessary to analyze the anti-war discourse in literature and culture, we study it in artistic and non-artistic texts, especially because of the war that is taking place on the soil of Europe." It is precisely because of this that a large number of Slavists reported an anti-war theme, and you will see how much South Slavic literature actually abounds in anti-war attitudes," Bečanović, PhD, explained and announced that this year three important writers, Aleksandar Gatalica, Renato Baretić and Tomislav Osmanli, are coming as guests. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the Macedonian writer and founder of the Macedonian language, Blaž Koneski, one scientific section with nine papers is dedicated to his work. Dean of the Faculty of Philology Igor Lakić, PhD, speaking about this event as a good thing for society, culture and the country, said that Njegoš days should remain an event behind which the Faculty of Philology and the University of Montenegro will firmly stand in the future. This years Njegoš days will also have a rich cultural program. Thus, at the opening ceremony, a concert by the Kic pop choir will be organized, and professors of the Music Academy, Miran Begić and Aleksej Molčanov, will also perform. At the closing of the event, those interested will be able to enjoy the play "Red" directed by Danilo Marunović with actors Branislav Lečić and Tomislav Radosavljević.
