Volleyball teams of the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering secured their spots in the final; the basketball teams are concluding the group stage of the Meridianbet League  

In a competitive and sportsmanlike atmosphere last weekend, the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (ETF) secured their spots in the final of the Volleyball Student League of Montenegro, while the basketball teams wrapped up the group stage of the Meridianbet Student League.

In a dramatic volleyball semifinal, the Faculty of Economics triumphed over the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education from Nikšić with a score of 2:1. Led by the outstanding performance of the Ivanović brothers, Danilo and Ilija, the economists managed to bounce back after losing the first set, winning the second set and confirming their dominance at the net in the third. In the other semifinal, ETF easily defeated the Student Dormitory from Nikšić with a score of 2:0, thanks to the exceptional ball reception by Tamara Jašović, the only female member of the team.

Concurrently with the volleyball competition, the basketball league concluded its group phase. In Group A, the Faculty of Civil Engineering secured a win over the Biotechnical Faculty with a score of 54:44, while the Law Faculty defeated the Student Dorm NK with 66:45. In Group B, the Faculty of Economics suffered its first loss, falling to the University of the Mediterranean with 68:57, whereas the University of Donja Gorica convincingly beat the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering with 61:43.

These sports stories reflect the spirit of student competition and collegiality, showcasing the exceptional talent and team spirit of young athletes. As the Faculty of Economics and ETF prepare for the big volleyball final, the basketball teams review their group stage results and strategically plan their moves for the upcoming challenges of the league.
