Constitutive Meeting of Advisory Board of European Social Research in Montenegro

Constitutive meeting of the Advisory Board of European Social Research in Montenegro is held at the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Montenegro on March 20th.

Montenegro approached to the European Social Research ESS (https://www.europeansocialsurvey.org/) at the initiative of the Ministry of Science in October 2018. ESS is theoretical and methodological the most comprehensive international research in the field of social sciences. It is the only social research implemented within ERIC and sponsored by European Comission at the same time. Montenegro gained its place within this very important scientific project, whose technical and methodological preparations are in progress by assigning the status of the observer state.

Advisory Board of European Social Research in Montenegro is consisted of: Maja Drakic Grgur, PhD, the Chairperson of the Center of Young Researchers of Montenegrin Academy of Science and Art, Radislav Jovovic, PhD, the Dean of the University of Mediterranean, Vesna Karadzic, PhD, Faculty of Economics, the University of Montenegro, Natasa Komnenic, the Vice Secretary-General of the Parliament of Montenegro, Zorka Kordic, assistant of the Secretary-General of the Government, General Secretariat of the Government, sector for monitoring compliance and monitoring of stratregy  implementation detrimining public policies, Jovan Mirkovic, PhD, Foundation for promotion of PRONA science, Marija Orlandic, PhD, the Faculy of International Economy, Finance and Business, Faculty of Information System and Technologies, University of Donja Gorica, Tatjana Piperovic, editor-in-chief in scientific-educational program of the Radio Television of Montenegro, Ilija Vujacic, PhD,  University of Donja Gorica and representative of Montenegro in General Parliament of ESS, Boris Vukicevic, PhD, the Vice-Rector of the University of Donja Gorica and Branka Zizic, General Director for Innovation and Technological Development, the Ministry of Science, Government of Montenegro.   

Current status of research in Montenegro and ways how to promote social sciences in Montenegro, as well as creation of public policies based on measurable data, which is one of the research functions, was discussed at the meeting. Vesna Karadzic, PhD, is elected for the Chairperson of Advisory Board.
