Call for students: Paid internship at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and European Patent Office (EPO)

The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and the European Patent Office (EPO) are offering, for the third time, the opportunity for University of Montenegro students to apply for a one-year paid internship through the Pan-European Seal Professional Traineeship program for those interested in patents and their commercialization.

 

The program offers a unique opportunity to gain work experience in a multicultural environment at important European Union institutions dealing with intellectual property issues. Selected candidates will undergo training, work on specific tasks to apply the acquired knowledge, and will be assigned experienced mentors.

 

Who is the program intended for?

 

The program is open to all students who have completed their undergraduate or master’s studies by September 2023, as well as master’s students who will complete their studies by September 2025.

 

Candidates from the following fields can apply:

 

- Law

- Intellectual Property Law

- Industrial/Product Design

- Data Protection

- Intellectual Property and Knowledge Management (e.g., intellectual property research, online training)

- Political Science and International Relations

- Linguistics

- Economics and Business Administration/Entrepreneurship

- Information Technology: (data analysis, IT security, business analysis, software engineering, customer support solutions, process automation, artificial intelligence)

- Communications and Visual Design

- Facility Management: (architecture, civil engineering, logistics management)

- Human Resources

 

The application consists of two steps:

 

1. The first round involves internal applications within the University of Montenegro. Interested students can submit their applications by February 18, 2025, to the email address razvojkarijere@ucg.ac.me. Candidates should submit the following documents:

   - CV in English in Europass format

   - Motivation letter, clearly stating whether the candidate is applying for the EUIPO/EPO program (students cannot apply for both programs simultaneously)

   - Diploma/Certificate of degree completion

 

   After the application deadline, interviews will be conducted with all candidates, followed by the formation of a shortlist of selected candidates.

 

2. Candidates selected by the University of Montenegro will be required to submit their online application directly to the institution they are applying to:

   - For EPO, online applications will be open from March 1 – March 15, 2025.

   - For EUIPO, online applications will be open from March 1 – March 31, 2025.

 

Please note that only applicants nominated by the University of Montenegro will be considered.
