The Student Parliament of the University of Montenegro organized a panel discussion on the topic "Student Service. The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, assoc. prof. Vesna Bratić, PhD spoke at the panel. The Acting Director General of the Directorate of Labor Jevrosima Pejović, the Acting Director of the Revenue and Customs Administration Aleksandar Damjanović, while the moderator was the Secretary General of SPUM colleague Andrej Vukčević.

The topic of the panel was the activity of mediating the Student Service, first of all, processing the student labor market and finding student jobs that give students the opportunity to earn. A large number of students, so directly, through their work and effort, get the funds that enable them a better standard of study. That is what the Student Parliament stands for, that is why today's panel is the starting point for student service. Following the example of student services from the region, and the models that already exist that are part of the SPUM research on the way the services work and function, this story was opened through a panel.

Minister prof. Vesna Bratić, pointed out that students should be free, ready to point out all the problems they face in this society. She certainly pointed out that she recognizes the importance of student service, but in her address she referred more to the fact that students should have their rights, which will guarantee them employment and provide a livelihood for their needs during their studies and after graduation. When it comes to the establishment of the student service, she pointed out that this is an issue that will certainly be worked on, whether through changes in existing legislation or the adoption of new laws.

The Acting Director General of the Directorate for Labor, Jevrosima Pejović, welcomed the establishment of the student service and points out that the idea already existed much earlier. What she pointed out was that the Employment Bureau of Montenegro could be the carrier of organizing the student service. She also referred to seasonal employment, which, according to her, was important for the seasonal employment of our students. Ms. Pejović states that changes to the law and harmonization of legislation would require a lot of time and that it would take a long time to work on it.

The Acting Director of the Revenue and Customs Administration, Aleksandar Damjanović, points out that the topic initiated by the Student Parliament of the University of Montenegro is important in many ways and he welcomes it and sees it as the enthusiasm of young people. He certainly reminds that in the period of the 80's, when he was a student, there was this type of employment and that he was a user of the same. He believes that the student service would have a big role in today's study system and that he, as someone who would be in front of the Revenue and Customs Administration, would be ready to offer a realistic and acceptable model of tax relief to employers. That way, we would certainly have the incentive and incentive to employ students by employers. Among other things, he mentioned that the changes in the law are certainly significant, and even the adoption of a new law that would regulate this issue.

At the end of the panel, questions were asked and comments were given by those present, i.e. by the International Labor Organization, as well as the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports. The comments refer to the fact that the establishment of a student service is an idea that should receive full support and that it is a comparative practice of the countries in the region that student services are located within universities. Also, student services play a significant role not only in the employment of students, but also in the achievement and development of career skills, acquisition of personal and professional competencies, knowledge, skills.
