Origin and development




Center for Quality within Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Podgorica was formed in December 1996. The Center has focused its activities in three directions:

- quality and standards (ISO 9000, ISO 14000, ISO 17000, ISO 18000, ISO 22000,...)
- applied informatics
- industrial engineering.

On the basis of this trinity, Center for Quality has generated its own approach to the improvement of quality management system, which includes three parts: training on the spot + briefing + consulting.

In the field of standards and quality management, Center for Quality focused its own activities on:

1. Training and education for quality:

seminars on topics: Improvement of the quality management system, The cost of quality, ISO 14000 series standards, Access to the implementation of ISO 9000 standard requirements (auditing of standards)
permanent education within School for Quality that is intended for engineers, quality managers, quality assessors and adequate profiles for the application of ISO 14000

2. Research and development of adequate software that would enable, on the basis of artificial intelligence and available knowledge, to come to the intelligent tutoring system for quality management system and system of environmental management

3. Application of our own methodology of building quality management system and system of environmental management (where original solutions are based on the access to recording sheet, design documentation, training according to the "just in time" principle, with care taken to achieve a solution implemented with a minimum-documentation) by the realization of concrete projects, primarily in the fields of education and tourism.
