The Senate proposed 2,119 places for enrollment in graduate specialist studies
The Senate of the University of Montenegro, at an electronic session, and based on the proposal of the Council of Organizational Units and the Opinion of the Center for Quality Improvement, determined the Proposal on the number of students for enrollment in postgraduate specialist self-financing studies. Out of the stated number, places for 25 students are planned for the Faculty of Architecture, 60 at the Biotechnical Faculty, 100 at the Faculty of Economics, 300 at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, 150 at the Faculty of Political Sciences, 90 at the Faculty of Maritime Studies, 178 at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, 40 at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, 150 at the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality, Faculty of Law 180, Philosophy 120, Faculty for Sports and Physical Education 50, Faculty of Medicine 70, Natural Sciences and Mathematics 215 and Philology 245, while at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts and the Academy of Music, 17 and 24 places, respectively.
When proposing the number of students, the Senate was guided by the number in accordance with the license of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, as well as teaching quality standards, estimates of the number of students who will enroll in specialist studies, and the material basis for individual study programs. The submitted proposals are justified from the aspect of employability and demand on the labor market in Montenegro, spatial and personnel capacities of organizational units, and the expressed interest of students in enrollment.
The Senate's proposal will be submitted for further consideration to the Governing Board of the University of Montenegro, which will make a decision on the proposal of the number of students for enrollment in specialist studies and tuition fees, and the final decision will be made by the Government of Montenegro.
At the same session, committees were appointed to review the competition material and write reports for the election to the academic title for 12 areas at the Faculty of Philology, Faculty of Philosophy, Biotechnical Faculty, Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the Commission for monitoring the inaugural lecture of candidates at the Faculty of Architecture, Metalurgy and Technology and Economics. Also, the Committee for the defense of the doctoral dissertation at the Faculty of Philology was appointed.
