Cooperation between the University of Montenegro and three Coastal Municipalities Discussed

Delegation of the University of Montenegro led by the Rector, Prof. Dr. Vladimir Božović has met today representatives of three coastal municipalities: Mayor of Tivat Željko Komnenović, Mayor of Kotor Vladimir Jokić and deputy President of the Municipal Assembly of Herceg Novi Mirko Mustur.

Models of future cooperation between the University of Montenegro and the municipalities were introduced during the meeting, especially in view of ideas and research capacities, and human potential that can help in the future creation of smart cities concept, and the concept of towns whose development will be based on expert knowledge in the field of technological, economic and touristic development. 

The meeting focussed on potential projects in the area of electro mobility and introduction of electrical cars with the aim of reducing pollution, on the model of European standards application and EU Green Deal whose aim is to have Europe as the first climate neutral continent without significant emission of carbon dioxide by 2050.

Besides Rector Božović the meeting was attended also by Vice-rector for Internationalization prof. Dr. Sanja Peković, Vice-rector for Science Prof. Dr. Irena Orović and Prof. Dr. Novak Jauković from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, as well as the Vice-president of Municipal Assembly Kotor Siniša Kovačević and Vice-president of Municipal Assembly Tivat Goran Božović.
