One of the recipients of the State Award "Oktoih" for the year 2023 is Prof. Dr. David Kalaj from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at the University of Montenegro. In addition to Professor Kalaj, this years recipient is Ana Vujačić, a physics teacher at the "Stojan Cerović" Gymnasium in Nikšić.
This was announced on the Facebook page of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Innovation.
"The State Award Oktoih was established in 1970. It is awarded to a citizen of Montenegro or a legal entity with its headquarters in the territory of Montenegro for outstanding achievements in the field of education and upbringing, as well as student and student standards. So far, about 140 individuals and 65 institutions have received the award," it is emphasized in the announcement of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Innovation.
It is stated that the expert jury for the awarding of the State Award "Oktoih" for the year 2023, after careful consideration and evaluation of the submitted proposals in accordance with the Regulation on the detailed manner, procedure, and evaluation criteria, decided to award the State Award "Oktoih" to Prof. Dr. David Kalaj from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Podgorica, University of Montenegro, and Ana Vujačić, a physics teacher at the "Stojan Cerović" Gymnasium in Nikšić.
"The decision was made based on the number of points in accordance with the Regulation. The State Award Oktoih, consisting of a plaque, a diploma, and a monetary prize, will be presented to the winners by the Minister of Education, Science, and Innovation, Prof. Dr. Anđela Jakšić-Stojanović, on January 17, 2024," said the Ministry of Education, Science, and Innovation.
