Republic Slovenia Prolonged Open Call for Bilateral Scholarships for 2022/23

The Ministry of Education, Science and Sports of the Republic of Slovenia, based on the bilateral protocol on cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of Montenegro, offers Montenegrin citizens scholarships for study/research stays in 2022/2023   academic year.

 

18 months of scholarships are offered, for periods of stay of 3 to 6 months, for undergraduate and postgraduate students who wish to spend a part of their studies at one of the Slovenian higher education institutions. In the case of postgraduate studies, it is an individual research work under the supervision of a Slovenian mentor/professor.

 

The decision on the admission of the candidate is made by the Slovenian institution for which the candidate has applied, therefore the candidate is obliged to first contact the chosen university and request a Letter of Acceptance from the appropriate department. Candidates should emphasize when contacting that they are applying for a scholarship based on a bilateral agreement.

 

The scholarship is awarded to candidates only on the condition that they are nominated by the domestic competent body (Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports), which sends the list of selected candidates and their files to CMEPIUS (Centre of the Republic of Slovenia for Mobility and European Educational Training Programs), until August 19, 2022.

 

That is why it is necessary for the candidates, no later than August 19, 2022, to submit the application file for the scholarship, in three copies, to the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, at the Archives (office no. 5, ul. Vaka Đurovića bb, 81 000 Podgorica).

 

The file consists of the following: 

• Duly filled and signed application form (Application Form, available at the link below)

• Acceptance letter, signed and certified (Letter of Acceptance, the form is available at the given link)

• Additional documentation consisting of:

• photocopy of ID card or passport (photo page),

• one letter of recommendation (letter of recommendation) for a study stay, and two letters of recommendation for a research stay, from the domestic institution

• photocopy of diploma and/or certified transcripts of gradesAll documents should be in Slovenian or English. Incomplete files and/or inadequately completed application forms will not be considered.The age limit for undergraduate students is 26 years (which the candidate can reach during the duration of the scholarship) and 30 years for research stay.A candidate can only receive a scholarship for physical mobility.

The scholarship includes

:• monthly compensation of 300 EUR

• provided accommodation in a student dormitory

• a meal in the student restaurant
