Alisa Bogdanović from Montenegro is the world champion in the Chinese language competition for elementary school students

The Chinese Bridge Competition 2023 was held in the Chinese city of Kinming, a world competition in knowledge of the Chinese language for non-native speakers. Primary and secondary school students participated in the competition, and the representative of our country in front of the Confucius Institute at UCG, Alisa Bogdanović, is the winner of this competition in the category of primary school students.


The host of the competition is the Chinese Center for Foreign Languages and Cooperation as well as the Ministry of Education of China. The Chinese Bridge Competition attracted around 45,000 primary and secondary school students who participated in preliminary competitions organized by the Confucius Institute in their countries, and the best national competitions were given the opportunity to participate in the world event. Thus, at the final event in China, there were 168 representatives from 97 countries.
The final stage of the Chinese language competition was held on October 30, 2023. That evening, the best of the best took to the stage in their countrys national costumes and presented themselves in the finals through a musical performance called "We Are Neighbors".
The competition consisted of three parts: personal presentation, speech on a given topic and presentation of some talent from the segment of Chinese culture.


On this occasion, our Alisa received as many as 3 recognitions. She won: the European award for the best participant in the Chinese Bridge competition for elementary school students, the title of world champion in the Chinese language and culture competition, as well as recognition for the best presentation as chosen by other competition participants.
Alisa started studying Chinese in 2018 at the Confucius Institute at the University of Montenegro, where she is currently taking the highest HSK 6 level. Alisa spoke in China about her feelings and challenges on the way to learning the Chinese language. Within the so-called The "talent show" presented herself with her composition entitled "Pogodan oblak" and pointed out that the friendship between China and Montenegro should be nurtured in the future.
