Call for the preparation and submission of project proposals for the IAEA 2026-2027 technical cooperation programme

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has announced a call for the preparation and submission of project proposals for the 2026-2027 cycle of technical cooperation programme to member countries.

Within the mentioned activities, member countries have the possibility to propose projects of a national, regional or interregional character. National projects are a category that is based on the identified needs of member countries (in accordance with IAEA activity) and must be based within the Country Program Framework (CPF). In the case of Montenegro, the following priority areas have been defined: human health, water and the environment, energy and industry, food and agriculture, and nuclear and radiation safety and security.

Regional projects, on the other hand, must be based on appropriate strategies and plans for a specific region and must reflect the common needs of the IAEA member countries from the said region. Interregional projects basically provide support to member countries through the organization of conferences, seminars and workshops for the respective priority areas.

According to the Agencys standards, and in order to help member countries in the preparation and implementation of projects, the International Atomic Energy Agency provides appropriate expert support as well as support through the organization of training for project team members.

The guide for the preparation of project proposals with timeline, as well as the corresponding application forms for the evaluation phase, for all three categories of projects mentioned above, can be found at the following link: https://pcmf.iaea.org.
