Establishing future cooperation between the University of Montenegro and CEDIS




The Acting Rector full prof. Vladimir Božović, PhD and the dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering assoc. prof. Saša Mujović, PhD met today with the director of the Montenegrin electricity distribution system Vladimir Čađenović and the head of the operational directorate of CEDIS Vladimir Ivanović, in order to establish future cooperation.

Numerous activities for improving cooperation were stated at the meeting, with an emphasis on connecting ETF and CEDIS in terms of synergy of the most modern technical and engineering possibilities in the field of electrical engineering and professional knowledge of academic staff of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, as well as improving students' practical activities through various scholarships.

Rector Božović expressed his satisfaction with the agreements reached, and emphasized the important role of one of the main electricity entities in Montenegro for further progress and development of the University of Montenegro.

“The planned activities will be focused on mutual benefits and will make a significant contribution in terms of science and research, future scholarships, internships and internships that will be provided to students, as well as in terms of mutual consulting services", he added.

Director Čađenović said that CEDIS bases its successful business on the knowledge, experience and expertise of electrical engineers, and cooperation with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the University of Montenegro is very important for the further development of CEDIS and the energy sector in Montenegro.

“As this educational and scientific research institution provides the best staff in the field of energy that is competitive in the international labor market, and our company as an employer strives to have the best engineers in its ranks who will contribute to the development of the distribution system, we want to intensify cooperation with the the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at all levels for the benefit of both.”, he said.

Dean Mujović said that future activities with this company will result in an open opportunity for scholarships for students who, in addition to the education they receive at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, have an additional chance to become excellent experts who are competitive on the international market. He also expressed gratitude for the good will to support activities related to investing in infrastructure of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering.

Mr. Ivanović thanked for the warm welcome and wished successful cooperation between the largest institution of higher education in Montenegro and CEDIS.
