A Memorandum of Cooperation between the University of Montenegro and the Ministry of Capital Investments was signed

The memorandum on cooperation between the University of Montenegro and the Ministry of Capital Investments was signed today at the Rectorate of the University of Montenegro by the Acting Rector of the University of Montenegro full prof. Vladimir Božović, PhD and Mladen Bojanić, Minister of Capital Investments.
It is a document that defines the principle of joint action in the fields of scientific-educational, research and professional consulting, while the main goal is stronger connection and joint action of the signatories of the Memorandum in the areas of the Ministry of Capital Investments (energy, energy efficiency, mining, geological research, transport and maritime affairs) through various forms of cooperation and mutual understanding.
Cooperation between the University and the Ministry will, among other things, by signing this Memorandum, be aimed at improving the development of programs and activities in scientific-educational and professional-advisory activities, cooperation with relevant international institutions and organizations to implement joint activities and projects, as well as organizing joint conferences, workshops, forums, exhibitions and similar events of public importance. Also, the document specifies the mutual exchange and joint publishing of scientific and other professional publications, and the emphasis is placed on acquiring practical knowledge of students in accordance with the principles and goals of development of cooperative (dual) education at the University of Montenegro.
The Acting Rector of the University of Montenegro full prof. Vladimir Božović, PhD expressed his satisfaction with the signing of the Memorandum, which, as he states, is of fundamental importance for the development of the University with some new dynamics, and thus the entire community.
“What I would emphasize is the field of energy efficiency, which is an important topic for the whole society. The agreement also covers issues related to traffic, mining, geological research, technology development, and energy. What we want for such an agreement is not to remain just on paper, but to become sustainable”, he said.
In the previous period, as he explains, he worked for a long time on defining fields that are important for both parties and it was concluded that much is connected between the University of Montenegro and the Ministry of Capital Investments of the Government of Montenegro, and that many joint activities will be done in the future.
After the signing, Minister Bojanić expressed his belief that, given the portfolio that is in the Ministry of Capital Investments and which is very wide, there are many areas in which one can successfully cooperate with the University. “Specifically, we want to increase the participation of science and the profession in public administration, in order to help Montenegro embark on economic and then general social recovery. I am sure that this will not be a dead letter on paper and that this is just the beginning of long-term cooperation", said Minister Bojanić.
In the future, the signatories of the Memorandum will, through joint promotional activities, inform the public about their further cooperation in achieving the goals proclaimed in the Memorandum.
