Panel discussion: Programme for professional training – advantages and faults

The Students Parliament of the University of Montenegro has organized a panel discussion „Programme for professional training-advantages and faults“ in order to exchange opinions and experiences after ten years of its realization. Speakers at the Panel were: representatives of the Ministry for Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Ms. Marija Đurišić, the Ministry for Economic Development, Ms Jevrosima Pejović, Employment Bureau, Ms. Verica Popović, eGovernment Mr Đuro Nikač and Career Center of the University of Monetengro, Mr Ivica Todorović.

            Conclusions by the Student Parliament of the University of Montenegro, after the panel discussion are:

1. Better professional practical work is needed at the faculties;
2. It is necessary to establish Student Service for temporary and part-time jobs;
3. It is necessary to launch start-ups and improve business environment for students – probably the most important activity that has not enough attention at the time. Reality is often far from theory and intentions. Beginnings in business, entrepreneurships and small and medium enterprises in Montenegro are faced with huge regulatory burden while applying for the funds to start a business. In order to realize one’s business idea, it takes amount of 10-20.000 euro. In the following period, we will insist to develop funds for students that they could get for a qualitative business idea. For that idea they could get loan without interest and mortgage, and funds could be 10.000-15.000 euro. This proposal demands a procedure, but we believe that this could be performed, because this would give a chance to students and young persons to valorize their ideas through establishment of large number of small enterprises.
4. It is necessary to consider the possibility of a complete redesigning of the current model of  the Programme for professional training.
