Diplomas of the University of Montenegro Recognizable on Labor Market, the Summer Job Fair Continues in Kotor Today

The Season Job Fair, organized by the University of Montenegro and the Student Parliament of UMNE, continues today, March 16th, in Kotor, at the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management UMNE, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

A great number of interested graduates and students filled the hall of the University Sports and Cultural Center in Podgorica yesterday, already at the opening ceremony of the Open Door Day of the University of Montenegro and the Season Job Fair, which was also attended by the rector of the University of Montenegro Vladimir Božović, PhD and Chairwoman of the Steering Committee Rajka Glušica, PhD. UMNE Vice-Rector for Teaching, Veselin Mićanović, PhD, said that this traditional event is an opportunity for the University to show its openness to the social community, and especially to the graduates who are now at one of the most important crossroads in life.  "I am sure of one thing, by choosing one of the offered study programs, and there are quite a few of them, in 19 organizational units, we are able to provide quality studies and diplomas at nine locations in Montenegro, which will, with complete certainty, be recognizable on the labor market", Vice-Rector Mićanović said and invited the graduates to see more about the University of Montenegro on stands of 19 faculties. 

The Minister of Education, Miomir Vojinović, expressed his gratitude to the Student Parliament and the Career Center of the University of Montenegro, which, through such events, promote not only the study programs of the University, but also the Montenegrin education system as a whole. "Montenegro is determined to build a society based on knowledge, continuously working to improve the quality of studies with the active participation of students as the central figure of the entire higher education system," Minister Vojinović states. He added that in the coming period, the Ministry will continue with activities that provide adequate mechanisms for quality assurance in higher education, "aiming at creation of such a socioeconomic milieu in which new generations of higher education staff will remain in Montenegro and create conditions with their knowledge and dedicated work for faster economic development of our country."

The Acting Director of the Employment Agency of Montenegro, Gzim Hajdinaga, said that he was pleased that the Institute continues its good tradition of cooperation with the University and the Student Parliament when organizing the Season Job Fair and alike. Especially since they have a joint opportunity to support young people in acquiring knowledge, and at the same time to strengthen the most important and strongest economic branch in Montenegro - tourism.President of the UCG Student Parliament, Andrej Vukčević, said that ten years of sustainability of the Summer Job project testify to what extent it is important and contributes to strengthening capacities of young people in Montenegro. "By implementing this project, the goal is to show that young people in Montenegro are ready to contribute to reducing the level of unemployment and that such a profiled, proactive and progressive population of personnel will become bearers of the future development of their country, and support of all social structures is needed for this" , Vukcevic said.
