The Rector of the University of Montenegro, Prof. Dr. Vladimir Božović, and the Governor of the Central Bank of Montenegro, Dr. Irena Radović, signed a cooperation agreement today at the Rectorate. This agreement establishes a framework for long-term collaboration, focusing on advancing education, research, and innovation in key areas vital to Montenegros economy.

Rector Božović emphasized the importance of connecting the academic community with Montenegros central monetary institution, highlighting that collaboration with CBCG offers a unique opportunity to enhance the research and educational capacities of the University, particularly in areas of strategic importance to Montenegros economic development.

"This agreement represents more than a formal framework for cooperation – it opens doors for concrete projects and initiatives, enabling our students and researchers to actively participate in the development of new knowledge and address current challenges, especially in financial technologies and the green economy," said Božović.

Governor Radović pointed out that the agreement facilitates the direct exchange of knowledge and innovation between the academic community and the financial sector.

"Today, more than ever, financial literacy and awareness of global economic trends play a crucial role in shaping our future. Therefore, we must work together to educate new generations who will understand the complexities of modern financial systems and be capable of actively contributing to the development of our society through innovation, research, and responsible governance," said Radović. She added that through this agreement, students will have the opportunity to participate directly in the work of the Central Bank through internship programs and research projects.

In addition, the agreement includes the organization of international conferences and symposiums, as well as the publication of scientific and professional materials that will be significant for the academic community and the general public. A special focus will be on integrating digital technologies into finance and economics, and on strengthening educational programs aligned with labor market needs. This collaboration is expected to bring numerous benefits at both the institutional level and for the broader community, through improvements in the education system, innovation in the financial sector, and support for Montenegros sustainable development.
