Adoption of the Policy for Open Access to Research Infrastructures at University of Montenegro (UCG)

The University of Montenegro has adopted a "Policy for Open Access to Research Infrastructure", which signifies another step towards internationalization and strengthening scientific excellence, both within the institution and in society and the region. The "Policy for Open Access to Research Infrastructure at the University of Montenegro", prepared with the technical support of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), within the program "Open Access to Research Infrastructure in the Western Balkans", in the period June-October 2020, is the first such document adopted at higher education institutions in the region.

The Policy streamline the importance of research and innovation, and the use of new technologies for sustainable development in Montenegro, the country's new strategic orientation towards innovation and development based on scientific results, which positions the University of Montenegro as a key higher education institution focused on scientific excellence and contribution to prosperity of Montenegrin society.

Development and founding of the work of the University of Montenegro on the use of various platforms for research and teaching, support the availability and open access to research infrastructure, which encourages efficient use, exchange and maximizing use of research infrastructure, amplification of the use of open source software for wider accessibility and easier upgrades, and increasing the visibility of research and teaching potentials.
