Erasmus+

Erasmus + is a European Union program that provides support to individuals and organizations in the fields of education, training, youth and sport. The Program offers opportunities to study, train and gain experience abroad.

In the field of education, the focus of the Erasmus+ Program is to promote the recognition and evaluation of acquired educational qualifications, advancement and development of all levels of education, open access to educational materials and documents, inclusiveness and international actions/mobility.

In the youth field, the focus of Erasmus + Program is on empowering of young people to actively participate in the democratic activities of developed societies, developing professional and leadership skills, intercultural cooperation and understanding and spreading solidarity.

In the field of sports, Erasmus + Program aims to strengthen cooperation and connections between sports organizations, and strengthening activities and ideas that result in increased physical activity of young people and other individuals.

The aim of Erasmus+ is to contribute to the Europe 2020 strategy for growth, jobs, social equity and inclusion, as well as the aims of ET2020, the EU's strategic framework for education and training.

Erasmus+ also aims to promote the sustainable development of its partners in the field of higher education, and contribute to achieving the objectives of the EU Youth Strategy.

 

Specific issues tackled by the programme include:

    ■ Reducing unemployment, especially among young people

    ■ Promoting adult learning, especially for new skills and skills required by the labour market.

    ■ Encouraging young people to take part in European democracy

    ■ Supporting innovation, cooperation and reform

    ■ Reducing early school leaving

    ■ Promoting cooperation and mobility with the EU's partner countries

 

Three key activities of the Erasmus + program are:

    1. Key action 1: learning mobility of individuals

         ■ KA1 - mobility of students, teaching and non-teaching staff

         ■ KA1 - joint master programs

    2. Key action 2: Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices

         ■ KA2 - capacity building in higher education

         ■ KA2 - associations of knowledge

         ■ KA2 - sectoral skills associations

         ■ KA2 - strategic partnerships

    3. Key action 3: Support for policy reform

         ■ KA3 - reform support

 

The Erasmus+ Program in addition encompass two specific programs:

     ■ Jean Monnet

     ■ Sport

 

For Individuals

Erasmus+ has opportunities for people of all ages, helping them develop and share knowledge and experience at institutions and organisations in different countries.
