Applicants must choose one mission to focus their project on. All applications must be submitted online through Jems, a tracking system developed by Interact. It is available for all applicants and partners at: https://jems.interreg-euro-med.eu/

The application procedure mainly consists of two main steps: submission of the application form, which should be filled in and confirmed in the Jems monitoring system, and, in the second step, the preparation of several mandatory annexes, which will be loaded into the system. Therefore, please note that two different deadlines must be met for each call, IE. the first step must be completed before the final call deadline.

Each project consortium appoints one organization as the lead partner, which assumes full responsibility for the implementation of the entire project. The leading partner is a public body or a body whose work is regulated by public law. The lead partner must be legally based in one of the qualified cooperation regions of the Interreg Euro-MED program. Private institutions or international organizations operating under national or international law cannot act as lead partners.

Partners can be public bodies or public law bodies, private institutions and/or international organizations operating under national or international law. Project partners who are not lead partners have their legal headquarters in one of the eligible regions in the cooperation area of the Interreg Euro-MED program or in a region outside the cooperation area that belongs to an EU member state.

Public, private or international institutions that want to be involved in the project without a financial contribution are considered "associated partners". Associate partners can be partners located in any EU member state or in a third country. Associate partners do not receive any funds from Interreg and must contribute with their own funds.
