Regenerative Teacher Education: A Vision for the future in the era of GenAI




In an era where generative artificial intelligence is reshaping the educational landscape, teachers face new challenges and opportunities. The TE_REG Manifesto presents an innovative approach to teacher education – regenerative education that combines ethical, human-centered, and technologically-informed practices.

The manifesto emphasizes that quality teacher education is not just a set of procedures and competencies. Instead, TE_REG proposes a holistic perspective, where key dispositions such as collaboration, contextualization, designing, enactment, and inquiry are at the core of professional development. Teachers are empowered to critically reflect on educational goals, build meaningful relationships with students, and responsibly use generative AI.
