Biography - Ćorluka Marin

Marin Ćorluka was born on August 23, 1964.  in Imotski, Croatia, currently with the family lives in Grude, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is married and father of  three children.

 

Education, academic progress and academic activities

He finished Elementary and high school in Grude. After graduating from high school he went to Sarajevo where he enrolls at the Faculty of  Physical Culture in 1984 year. He graduated in May 23, 1989. and he acquired vocation proffessor of phisical education.  After that he worked as a proffessor of phisical education in elementary and high schools in Posušje and Ljubuški for many years. 

He enrolls Postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education in Sarajeco. In June 2005 he holds a degree in Master's of Science in sport and Physical Education. The thesis of the Master's degree was: „Influence of basic motor skills on the success of football players in age from 12 to 14.“

Since November 1st, 2005. he has been employes at the Faculty of science and education at University of Mostar. In June 2006. he was elected as a teaching assistant in the field of Sport games (Baksetball and Football)  at the Study of Phisical Culture at mentioned Faculty.

He graduated in a Phd degree under the mentorshif of prof. Slavko Trninić, phd. Doctoral dissertation was:  „The pragmatic validity of initial motor status in assessing the actual quality of footballers in age 14 to 16.“  He graduated on July 13, 2008. at the Faculty of Science and Education at the University of Mostar.

 

 

He actively participates in the work and organization of scientific conferences,  publishes scientific papers at international scientific conferences, and is a researcher in the scientific project of Prof. Slavko Trninić, Phd., which was approved by Ministry of education of Republic of Croatia.

For the purposes of continuing education, he writes scientific and professional papers, which he publishes in relevant journals. He is  author of one book. He actively participated in several scientific congresses, and was a receipter for several books.

From 2015. he is in status Marin Ćorluka, Phd, Associate Proffesor.

As a lecturer, he is a permanent associate of the Training Center for Trainers organized at the Football Association of osnia and Herzegovina.

 

Sports experience

 

He made his first sporting career as a boy in NK Bekija - Grude, and in his many years of sports career he also performed for several other football clubs: Ljubuški, Stolac, Mladost, Croatia, Imotski.

In addition to be great football player, he also was  active player of futsal, playing for the famous junior team: Julia & Sons and Picadilly from Sarajevo, then MNK Seljak from Livno and MNK Promet Orkan from Zagreb.

As a player of football and futsal in these clubs, he has achieved a number of individual and club achievements that are worth mentioning:

  • the best athlete of the Grude municipality for 1985 and 1991,
  • the best athlete of Livno municipality for 1991,
  • 1987- Champion of Herzegovina with futsal team Seljak, Livno
  • 1988- Champion of Bosnia and Herzegovina with futsal team Picadilly- Sarajevo
  • 1989 - Champion of Bosnia and Herzegovina with futsal team Seljak – Livno
  • 1989 - Vice Champion of the former Yugoslavia in futsal with team Seljak – Livno
  • 1990 – Champion of the former Yugoslavia in futsal with team Seljak – Livno
  • 1991 - 3rd place at the European Championships in futsal with team Seljak-Livno, in Madrid
  • Winner of the County Cup with Football team Ljubuški and Footbal Team Stolac
  • Winner of Herceg Bosna Cup with Football Team Ljubuški

In addition to the aforementioned results, he is the winner of many tournaments in the country and abroad, where he is often declared the best player or shooter of tournament.

In addition to football activities he also performed at several athletic competitions and he was the winner on the cross races, and he also won the third place at 1500 m at the University Athletic Rally of the "Rector's Cup" in Sarajevo in 1985.

After his football career as a player, he becomes devoted to the same activitie but as a trainer/ coach. He was football trainer/coach for many teams, such as Grude, Drinovci, Ljubuški. With mentioned clubs he achived numerous remarkable resaults, such as Champions trophy of the Second League, semi-final Cup of Herzeg-Bosnia with football club Grude, and in 2004. semi-finale of Cup of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

As a sportsman he has performed the following functions:

- 2000/01, sports director of Footbal Club Brotnjo at the time when Club was champion of Bosnia and Herzegovina

- 2007 – Coach of Bosnian and Herzegovinian futsal national team

- currently president of the Scientific Sports Society Libertas-Mostar

- Chairman of the Committee for Futsal BiH

- Member of the Commission for High Sports at the Olympic Committee of BiH

-From 2013 he is Vice-Dean at Faculty of Science and Education at University of Mostar
