Dr. Olga Pelcer - Vujacic was born on February 19, 1977 in Belgrade. She attended basic studies in history at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Belgrade from 1996 to 2001. She graduated in September 2001 with the work Babatins Archive and an overall average of 9.24. She received her masters degree at the Department of Ancient History of the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade on December 6, 2006 with the thesis Legal contracts on breastfeeding in Roman Egypt. Doctoral thesis Society of Lydia and Phrygia from the 1st to the 3rd century AD. e. written in English, it was defended at the History Department of the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade on July 2, 2015.
Olga Pelcer-Vujačić was employed at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade from July 2003 to March 31, 2013, first as a researcher-trainee, and from 2007 as a researcher-associate. All the time, she actively participated in classes, holding exercises in the subject History of the Ancient East and Ancient Greece. Since October 2013, he has worked as a senior researcher at the Institute of History of the University of Montenegro. In September 2019, she was elected to the scientific title of research associate for the area of Ancient History on the soil of Montenegro and the Mediterranean. From September 2019 to September 2020, she was engaged in the course General Ancient History (Old East) at the History study program at the Faculty of Philosophy in Nikšić. In September 2024, she was elected to the scientific title of senior research associate at the History Institute of UCG.
During her undergraduate and postgraduate studies, she trained in Oxford and London (2001 and 2003), was a scholarship holder of the CEEPUS program in Austria, Karl-Franzens University in Graz, Abteilung für Südosteuropäische Geschichte in May 2005, as well as a DAAD scholarship holder for a two-month research at the University of Heidelberg, Germany (June-July 2017). Among other things, she carried out research in institutions in Cologne (Institut für Altertumskunde der Universität zu Köln), Rome (Deutsches Archäologisches Institut, CNR-ISMA, Lécole française de Rome, American Academy in Rome) and Athens (Lécole française dAthènes, American School of Classical Studies).
She published several articles in international scientific journals, thematic anthologies and proceedings from scientific meetings, and participated in the work of a number of international and national scientific conferences. She has been involved in several international projects within the Historical Institute.
She is a member of ICOM Montenegro, The European Network for the Study and Teaching for the Ancient Roman History (ENSTARH), the European Society for Environmental History (ESEH) and the Society for Ancient Studies in Belgrade.
He speaks fluent English, uses French and German.
