Biography - Domazetović Vladimir

Born in Bar (1976), Vladimir Domazetovic (piano) at the age of sixteen was the youngest student at the University of Montenegro, Academy of Music, Titograd. He was studying at the Music academy in Cetinje, and in 2003 finished his postgraduate studies. Between 1995 and 1998, while in Paris at Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris with Professor Marijan Ribicki, Vladimir received diploma for pianist performer. He is a laureate of republic and federal competitions in Yugoslavia. Even though he was only fifteen, he won the first prize while competing with elder students at the First International Piano Competition in Novi Sad. Vladimir won the second prize at the International Piano Competition in Rome (1993), and was the finalist at prominent competition in Senigallia (1994). He performed several times at the festivals such as Barski Ljetopis, Grad Teatar Budva, Espressivo, Montenegro Music Festival, Nomus, etc.  He performed to great acclaim in Greece, Bulgaria, Russia, and very often in Paris in prestige hall Alfred Cortot, as well as in Polish Embassy and in Yugoslavian Culture Centre. During 2008 he performed in Serbia within National Concert Season, and at the international festivals in Bar and Cetinje, and for the first time performed in London. In the same year he performed with prestige String Orchestra Virtuosi di Praga from Czech Republic Bach's piano concerto in F minor at the festival Barski Ljetopis. His concerto performances also include Tchaikovsky's piano concerto No.1 ( with Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra in Podgorica), Mozart's piano concerto KV 467 ( with Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra at the age of 14 ). He was participant of the number of masterclasses with distinguished piano professors such as Konstantin Bogino, Jean Fassina, Vladimir Viardo and Jacques Rouvier. He has received many awards recognizing his accomplishments by Centre for Contemporary Arts, Podgorica, Municipality of Bar and Montenegrin Academy of Science and Arts (CANU). He is a music director of international festival Barski Ljetopis. Vladimir is a professor at the Academy of Music, Cetinje.
