Biography - Došljak Draško

Draško Došljak was born in 1966 in Berane, where he finished elementary and high school.

He graduated from the Department of Serbo-Croatian Languages and Yugoslav Literature at the Faculty of Philology, University of Prishtina. He received the diploma prominent student.

He received a master's degree in the subject: "Personal names of Zaostro" (mentor: Prof. Svetozar Stijovic PhD), and the title of doctor of philological sciences he received by defending the doctoral dissertation "Toponymy of Gornji Bihor" (mentor: Prof.  Radojica Jovicevic PhD).

He started his university career as an assistant at the Faculty of Philology, University of Pristina. He was director of the Student Cultural Center. He hosted guest lecturers from linguistic subjects at the Pedagogical Academy in Pristina, International University of Novi Pazar, Medical Faculty Podgorica - High Medical School.

He was appointed assistant professor in the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Montenegro in 2011 and 2016, and the title of associate professor. He teaches: Old Slavic language (spelling and phonetics), Old Slavic language (morphology), History of Montenegrin language (phonetics), History of Montenegrin language (morphology) - on basic studies and Introduction to onomastics at master studies.

He participated in over thirty scientific meetings in the country and abroad. He has published about 200 scientific and professional papers, studies, reviews and reviews in domestic and foreign journals.

He was editor of "Tokovi", the journal for scientific, literary and social issues, a member of the editorial staff of " Novi svet " and " Sloboda ", one of the editors of the general monographs of Berane. He was Secretary of the Union of Slavic Societies of the SFRY, Member of the Management Board of the MSC. He is a member of the Matice crnogorske, the Society for Applied Linguistics of Montenegro and the Philological Society of the International University Novi Pazar. He reviewed and edited thirty books from linguistics and literature. He is the author of the screenplay for the documentary "The Wind of Eternity" - 100 years since the birth of Mihailo Lalic.

He was the president or a member of numerous juries in the field of culture.

He is a Head of the Study Program for the Montenegrin Language and South Slavic Literature at the Faculty of Philosophy in Niksic.

Author of the books:„Lična imena Zaostra“ (Personal names of Zaostro), „Stara lična imena“(Old personal names),  „Onomastika Budimlje“(Onomastic of Budimlja) and „Antroponimija Police“ (Anthroponymia of Polica).
