Biography - Ibrić Svetlana

Svetlana Ibrić received her bachelor degree at the Faculty of Pharmacy (University of Belgrade) in 1994. In 1997, she received her Master Degree, and her PhD degree in the field of pharmaceutical technology in 2002 at the Faculty of Pharmacy (University of Belgrade). She was promoted to the position of assistant professor in 2003, associate professor in 2009 and professor of pharmaceutical technology in 2014. From 2012-2018, she was Vice Dean for Science and National Relations at the Faculty.

In 2017. European Directorate for Quality of Medicines nominated Svetlana Ibrić as an expert and a Chair of the Powders Working Group in European Pharmacopoeia.

She is Lead of the Centre of Industrial Pharmacy (http://cifff.emyspot.com/) which brings together members of all pharmaceutical companies in Serbia, regulatory authorities and academia. Dr Ibrić is member of Committee for marketing authorization of human drugs in the Medicines and Medical Devices Agency of Serbia (from 2010), external evaluator of the CTD Module 3 file for drug marketing authorization in the Medicines and Medical Devices Agency of Serbia (from 2006).

She is leading the scientific project financed by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, Republic of Serbia (starting from 2010) with participation of pharmaceutical companies: Hemofarm and Galenika. Title of the project is „Development of products and technologies that enable desired drug release from solid oral dosage forms“.

She was coordinator for one bilateral project (2013-2014 titled „Application of machine learning tools in establishing a design space in solid dosage forms development”, bilateral project between Republic of Serbia and Federal Republic of Germany (project coordinator from German side: Prof. Dr. Peter Kleinebudde, Heinrich-Heine-University, Duesseldorf)).

She is member of Management Committee for two COST projects:

(a) 2015-2019 Simulation and pharmaceutical technologies for advanced patient-tailored inhaled medicines (SimInhale) - COST Action MP1404

(b) 2016-2020 European Network of Bioadhesion Expertise: Fundamental Knowledge to Inspire Advanced Bonding Technologies - COST Action CA15216

She was supervisor of 12 finished PhD thesis. Her area of interest is controlled release dosage form development, application of machine learning tools in product/process optimization and QbD implementation in development of dosage forms and processes. She established significant collaboration with following research teams: Industrial Pharmacy Lab at Facuty of Pharmacy in Basel (dr Gabriele Betz), Faculty of Pharmacy Aristoteles University of Thessaloniki (prof Kyriakos Kachrimanis), Faculty of Pharmacy at Heinrich-Heine University in Dusseldorf (prof Peter Klainebudde), Faculty of Pharmacy in University of Ljubljana (prof Julijana Kristl) etc.

In 2016 godine she was President of Central European Symposim on Pharmaceutical Tehnology, which was held in Belgrade.

She has published over 200 scientific papers, she is co-author 6 chapters in international monographs. She has over 760 citations and her h-index is 16.
