Biography - Babić Zdravko

Zdravko Babić was born on November 29, 1979 in Nikšić, Montenegro. He studied Russian language and literature at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Montenegro and graduated in 2003. He enrolled in the postgraduate studies in language science at the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade in the academic year 2003/04 and defended his masters thesis "Impersonality in Modern Russian, Polish and Serbian languages" in 2007. He defended his doctoral dissertation titled "The Category of Personality in Contemporary Slavic Literary Languages ​​" at the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade in 2012, under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Predrag Piper.

He has been teaching at the University of Montenegro’s Faculty of Philosophy since academic year 2003/04. He had been a lecturer at the Institute for Foreign Languages ​​in Podgorica. From October 2004 to October 2007 he worked as a lecturer at the Silesian University of Katowice (Poland). He paid several study visits to higher education institutions in Moscow and St. Petersburg and also spent one month at the University of Warsaw’s Institute for Russian Studies in the context of the Erasmus Mundus Sigma Agile project. His areas of scientific and professional interest include contrasting and typological comparisons of Slavic languages ​​in the fields of morphology, syntax, historical grammar and phonetics.
