Admissions/Calls for Applications

According to the predictions of leading global experts, engineering is the profession of the future. It is estimated that in ten years, 90% of all professionals worldwide will be engineers, while only 10% will belong to other fields. So, if youre interested in robotics, artificial intelligence, mechatronics, electric vehicles, drones, energy efficiency… If you are creative, innovative, entrepreneurial, and want to build a better future — then the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering is the right choice for you.

A dynamic and interdisciplinary curriculum, conducted within state-of-the-art infrastructure, will provide you with a high-quality education and engaging research projects. You will also receive academic training in all major fields of mechanical engineering, road transport, and mechatronics, including, among others, production and industrial engineering, design and modeling, road vehicles, freight and passenger transport, logistics, traffic safety...

The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Montenegro has a long-standing tradition, yet it attentively follows and adapts to modern global scientific and technological developments. The Faculty’s vision is to become the most significant regional educational and research institution in the field of mechanical engineering, transport, and mechatronics, by adhering to the highest international standards of education and research. The aim is to make both the scientific research work and students of the Faculty attractive to Montenegrin and international research and development institutions, as well as business entities.

Study Programs

At the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, study programs are offered at the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels. At the undergraduate level, you can choose among three study programs – Mechanical Engineering, Road Transport, and Mechatronics.

Due to the complex structure of the mechanical engineering field, in addition to Mechanical Engineering, Road Transport, and Mechatronics, the master’s level also offers interdisciplinary master’s programs in Quality and Standardization, Energy Efficiency, and Mechatronics.

Which High Schools Provide Eligibility for Enrollment?

High school graduates from the following schools are eligible to apply: general high schools (gymnasium), mechanical, transportation, forestry, electrical engineering, civil engineering, geodetic, geological-mining, metallurgy, maritime, economics, chemical, textile-leather, and agricultural schools.

Is an Entrance Exam Required?

No entrance exam is required for enrollment. The procedure for admission and the ranking system for applicants are defined in the Rulebook on Conditions, Criteria, and Procedures for Enrollment in Undergraduate Studies at the University of Montenegro.

Where is Student Internship Conducted?

We proudly highlight that there are numerous companies where students can complete internships. However, what’s even more important is that many students in their final years of study start working even before officially graduating. In addition, our extensive network of Erasmus+ projects enables students to study at renowned universities in EU countries such as Slovenia, Italy, Spain, Germany, Austria, and others.

What Comes After Graduation?

The rapid development of Montenegro in the sectors of construction, energy, and transport infrastructure would not be possible without engineers of our profile. We proudly — or perhaps worryingly — state that over the last ten years (at least), the demand for engineers has consistently exceeded the supply we can provide. After graduation, our students have no difficulty finding employment, whether in Montenegro or on the European and global job market.
