Welcome Speech of Rector Vladimir Božović on occasion of the Beginning of the New Study Year
Dear colleagues and students,
The best have been enrolled at the University of Montenegro for years and decades. That is also the reason why you are with us from today. Welcome. We are especially happy that in the coming years you will bring knowledge, wisdom, cheerfulness and creativity to our common home, all that adorns our students.
Doubts, questions, and maybe even fears are common at the beginning of a new life choice. The good thing is that at universities we know the "cure" for all that - persistence and diligence from the first day. Such an approach has been tested many times, and thousands of those who are today in the most important government, business, educational, and scientific positions in the country and abroad are the best confirmation of its reliability. We promise to support you and to be a reliable support in your endeavors to acquire the knowledge needed for your future profession.
In everything we do, including during studies, ups and downs are expected occurrences. As important as it is that we achieve success and thereby achieve the goals of academic development, it is no less important that we learn to fight with failures and not give up.

Dear students, we must be very responsible for the gifts we have. Lets not waste them and not allow ourselves to be the workforce for the realization of other peoples dreams. We are a small community, but that doesnt mean we shouldnt fight to be the best at what we do. Maybe thats why its harder for us, but thats why the fruits of success are sweeter and last longer.
The period of study, along with all the accompanying obligations, is a treasure trove of the most beautiful memories, something that often marks a lifetime. I look forward to the fact that, relying on each others knowledge, creative spirit and motivated by the desire to succeed, we will make our way through challenges of the coming years.
