Horizon Europe: Open competitions for twinning, teaming and ERA Chairs activities

After the adoption of the main work program Horizon Europe for the year 2021-2022, the European Commission published the first calls within the horizontal area "Expanding participation and strengthening the European Research Area", among which is the long-awaited special twinning call for the Western Balkans.

This horizontal area of ​​the Horizon Europe program is aimed at building the research and innovation capacities of certain countries, which are developing more slowly in this respect than others.

Within the Work Program of the mentioned horizontal area, all calls are grouped into three so-called "Destinations":

Destination 1 - Improved approach to excellence

Destination 2 - Attracting and mobilizing the best talents

Destination 3 - Reform and improve the EU's research and innovation system
