The Steering Committee: 133 places for doctoral studies

The Steering Committe of the University of Montenegro has adopted a decision on the number of students for enrollment in doctoral studies, which provides for 133 places, at the proposal of the Senate of the University of Montenegro. An integral part of this decision is the proposal of the Doctoral Studies Committee.

President of the Steering Committee of the University of Montenegro full prof. Rajka Glušica, PhD said that this number includes the number of students in the interdisciplinary study program Sustainable Development organized by the Center for Doctoral Studies within the project "Reform of doctoral studies in Montenegro and Albania, an example of good practice - MARDS". The procedure of accreditation of this program, she added, has been completed, but the license of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports is awaited.

“The number of places in this program is included in order to plan and implement enrollment activities, of course, provided that the complete procedure is completed by the time the competition for enrollment is announced", said President Glušica.

The organizational units where the places for doctoral studies are planned are: Biotechnical (5), Civil Engineering (5), Mechanical Engineering (5), Faculty of Metalurgy and Technology (3), Faculty of Maritime Studies (10), Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality (5), Faculty of Law (1), Faculty of Sports and Physical Education (10), Faculty of Economics (5), Faculty of Medicine (12), Faculty of Science (15), Electrical Engineering (15), Faculty of Philology (14), Center for Doctoral Studies (25).

The adopted proposal is in accordance with the personnel, space, material and other resources of the units, expressed interest of students, number of potential mentors, number of students prescribed by the license, labor market needs and provided quality standards, as well as the number of approved licenses of the Ministry.
