Constructive discussion and dialogue towards the upcoming accreditation process

The meeting of the extended rector's collegium, which, in addition to the rector and vice-rector, was attended by the deans of organizational units, was held at the University of Montenegro. The plan of the upcoming accreditation of study programs of the University of Montenegro was discussed at the collegium, and it was agreed that in order to act more efficiently, working groups will be formed at organizational units, and in principle deadlines for preparation of accreditation materials are defined.

Vice-Rector for Teaching full prof. Veselin Mićanović, PhD referred to the general guidelines and recommendations for the implementation of the upcoming process, and explained some of the basic goals regarding the optimization of teaching activities, rationalization of external engagement, as well as harmonization of enrollment policy and labor market needs. There are also opportunities for additional enrichment of the teaching offer through the accreditation of study programs in English, Distance Learning programs, as well as international study programs that enable the acquisition of double degrees with foreign partner institutions.

The deans discussed the specific challenges related to the teaching process in the organizational units they manage, including the possibilities for organizing practical classes.

It was agreed at the meeting that the process of preparation of accreditation material will be organized through enhanced cooperation of all instances within the University of Montenegro, in order to create quality and attractive study programs for the next five years through respect for the specifics of organizational units.
