More Intensive Cooperation between the University of Montenegro and the University of East Sarajevo will be Based on European Standards

Delegation of the University of Montenegro led by the Rector, Prof. Dr Vladimir Božović has welcomed today in the Rectorate of the University of Montenegro the Rector of the University of East Sarajevo (UIS) Prof. dr Milan KulićaRector of the University in Priština Prof. Dr. ZdravkoVitošević and the  Vice-rector for Science, Development and Research of UIS Prof. Dr. Jelena Krunić. Strengthening the cooperation between UoM and UIS was also discussed during the meeting.

Intensifying the cooperation between these two higher education institutions that have long-standing cooperation, implies opportunities for improving cooperation with a view of joint participation in scientific-research projects and exchange of information, as well as finding characteristic forms of research and strategic cooperation building.

Rector Božović expressed his satisfaction with the visit of Rector Vitošević, and the eminent delegation of the University of East Sarajevo with which the agreement on cooperation was renewed in June this year for an additional period of four years. Cooperation agreement is based on academic cooperation in the field of education, research and other areas of joint interest, in line with Bologna Declaration and European higher education standards. 

Rector Kulić said he sees the great importance of academiccooperation between UIS and UoM, and that despitedeveloped links dating back to 2011 he still sees room for improving cooperation, since UoM, as he said, represents an important partner in every sphere of higher education.

The Vice-rectors of the University of Montenegro presented the university units, research work at the University which is performed at organizational units, fields of international bilateral and scientific cooperation, field of teaching, while the Vice-rector of UIS presented all the characteristics of science and research at UIS, based on which fields of interestfor both universities could be identified in the future.

The meeting concluded with expressed mutual openness for intensifying cooperation in the field of higher education. 

Today, at the same meeting, in the Rectorate of UoM, Rectorof the University in Priština Prof. dr Zdravko Vitošević and Rector of the University in East Sarajevo signed the Agreement on Cooperation.
